Rolly Villanueva, Jojo Talibong, and Rey Pinagnay sunk all of their balls on the table in both games one and two during the Singles 8-Ball round.
Villanueva, Talibong, Pinagnay defeated the Home Boys’ Juancho Mendoza, Mario Diola, and Nolan Cultura after leaving them three balls short on the table and plunging the all important 8-ball via corner pocket.
Franz De Luna redeemed the Home Boys’ named in the singles 8-ball round after leaving Roman Rodriguez two balls shy during game one and a knockout tally of five balls behind in game two to clinch the point putting the Home Boys on the scoreboard.
Clifford Hamoy followed teammate De Luna’s footsteps and earned another point in the last singles 8-ball round of the night. Luis Fajardo left Hamoy three balls shy in the first round.
Hamoy came back with the sour taste of revenge in game two sinking the black ball via side-pocket and with the vengeance; Hamoy nailed the sudden death round by a hairline of one ball left on the table for Fajardo.
Voyagers’ partners Talibong and Rodriguez along with teammates Villanueva and Fajardo clinched the last two rounds of the doubles 8-ball category nailing games one and two for both rounds to tally a total of five points edging past the Home Boys by three points, 5-2.
The Voyagers are on top amongst a pool of 10 vying teams with 40 wins and 16 losses pulling in a 71.4 percent winning average.
Docomo’s Utopia Hustlers are still in second place with still not enough points to rally past the Voyagers. The Hustlers were able to improve their overall status after routing past D’Pirates Best Choice by three points 5-2.
The Hustlers currently have 38 wins and 18 losses, 67.9 percent winning average until the next following competition where they will be granted another chance to kick the top contenders out of the throne.
The Voyagers’ sister team, team Buddies IT&E Incredibles are in third place with 37 wins and 19 losses pulling in a total of 66.1 percent winning average.
