WPS bounces back; MCS bombs SIS

WPS defenders missed the serve and SCS brought the game to a 19-19 deadlock halfway to the end of the second set.

But Clay McCullough-Stearns gave SCS the serve that broke the tie and WPS never looked back.

It was actually the whole team that made it happen, according to WPS coach Heather Kennedy saying everybody contributed to the victory, like it had always been in their two straight wins since the opening of the games.

Christian Miller and Phalai Frink also had score-earning serves while Marina Kaku went precise in setting the ball for a number of attacks bringing the scores to 25-19 for good.

WPS defeated Saipan International School during the opening game, 25-10, 25-22. It counted another victory over Calvary Christian Academy, 25-13, 25-22.

At the Mount Carmel School court, MCS pounded Saipan International School 25-17 and did not allow a third set defeating SIS again with the same score in the second set.

Jared Sablan and Kaylani Lebria bombarded SIS with their serves as they led MCS’ scoring hands.
