Students take off in the U9 boys 60m sprint event of the PSS All School Track & Field (Athletics) SY23-24 at the Oleai Sports Complex on Thursday.
THE runners of William S. Reyes and Kagman elementary schools led their respective heats in the elementary 60m event of the PSS All School Track & Field (Athletics) SY23-24 at the Oleai Sports Complex on Thursday.
WSR ruled the U9 boys division, topping three of the four heats.
In heat 1, WSR’s Aaron Martino blew through the competition with a time of 9.55 while Mount Carmel School’s Benz Santos came in second with 9.98, and Gregorio T. Camacho Elementary School’s Minong Pangelinan was third at 10.33.
Heat 3 was led by WSR’s Richardson Mungwaath who finished first with a time of 9.22. GTC’s Oshean Garde followed behind at 9.58 while Brilliant Star School’s Brayden Brennfleck came in third at 9.90.
WSR’s third first-place finish was in heat 4 and was claimed by Vyron Estella with a time of 10.41 followed by MCS’ Thomas Flores with 10.79, and Kagman Elementary School’s Sasuke Castro with 11.16.
Heat 2 was claimed by KagES’ Davirey Indalecio with a time of 8.93. GTC’s Geovanni Moses was second at 9.91 while KagES’ John Masiwemai was third at 10.38.
Girls U9
In heat 1 of the girls U9 division, WSR’s Rhiem Hernandez was numero uno with a time of 10.78. MCS’ Lauricia Tagabuel finished second at 11.05 while KagES’ Nemily Saimon came in third at 11.32.
Heat 2 was led by KagES’ Teuila Ogumoro with a time of 10.94 followed by BSS’ Aya Smith at 11.60, and MCS’ Miriam Flores at 11.85.
GTC’s Seraphina Alvarez ruled heat 3 with a time of 10.30 followed by GTC’s Molli Camacho at 10.59, and WSR’s Naliyah Daikichy at 10.86.
U12 boys
In the U12 boys 60m event, KagES topped two of three heats.
In Heat 1, KagES’ Benaiah Murphy sped through the competition and finished with a time of 8.91. GTC’s Vicente Cruz settled for second place at 9.89, and Saipan International School’s Vaiava Mercado came in third at 10.16.
Heat 2 was led by KagES’ Conan Iakopo with a time of 8.80. GTC’s Orion Garde was second with 9.11, and SIS’ Willie Guo was third with 9.36.
KagES’ streak was snapped in heat 3 as BSS’ Antonsha Heras claimed the top spot with a time of 9.37. MCS’ Ezekiel Villagomez followed behind at 9.89 while KagES’ Dominic Chipwelong came in third at 10.18.
U12 girls
In heat 1 of the U12 girls division, MCS’ Friella Dela Santa crossed the finish line first with a time of 9.92 followed by KagES’ Astrid Masiwemai at 10.16, and GTC’s Gianna Moses at 10.42.
In Heat 2, KagES’ Lailyla San Nicolas finished first with a time of 9.68 while GTC’s Ma’ina Salas trailed behind at 9.96. KagES’ Kai’hane Maratita was third at 10.25.
Heat 3 was claimed by WSR’s Reanna Acosta with a time of 9.4 followed by SIS’ Windsor Gross at 9.64, and SIS’ Neveah Arriola at 9.89.
