The Xterminators had runless top of the first inning then, endured three-run deficit when UR Ball’s Mike Taitano led off a solo shot Vince Sablan Jr., fired a two-run double in the bottom of the first.
John Taitano and Ron Benavente singled for the Xterminators then scored runs on consecutive errors to snatch the lead in the top of the second.
The UR Balls had two base hits to move ahead in the top of the third.
Cepeda and Manny Cabrera both singled and scores runs on another pair or errors to regain the slim lead again in the bottom of the fourth.
John Acosta singled in the fifth and Poland Masaharu drove him in.
Benavente singled as well and Castro sent him home on a fielder’s choice and the Xterminators went on to clinch the slot halfway to the top five in the standings.
Chura 8, Blazers 4
Mel Sakisat and Fred Sato fired a two-run home run and Myron Sablan had a solo shot in the top of the first inning leading Chura to beat the Blazers, 8-4.
Mario Sablan added run with his sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and Kel Fitial fired a run-scoring single in the sixth, then, George David drove in run with a single in the seventh to secure the win.
Hitz 29, Team Fuegu 5
The Hitz lambasted Team Fuegu with 13 base hits in the second inning, giving them no hope to catch up.
Cris George led off a single in the top of the first inning, before Kyle Kaipat hit a two RBI single, followed by Ken Kaipat’s run-scoring single and Lloyd Tarope’s RBI double.
George doubled for his second hit, Kyle did the same, Chico Ilo drove in two runs with a single while Sky Martin and Tarope fired an RBI single apiece.
Team Fuegu’s pain did not end there. The bat came back to George who had third base hit, Benedict Saures shared action with a two-run single, Ken had his third base hit and Ruben Olkeriil added an RBI single to pull the Hitz away.
