“NMIFA is elated to see the number of youths participating and welcome the addition of Shirley’s Football Club. With the organization of Shirley’s Football Club with their home court at Oleai Elementary School, more youths will have the opportunity to join a Club and participate in our football matches.” said Mr. Edward Salas in an email sent to the Marianas Variety yesterday.
Combined, there are fifty-five (55) youth teams for the fall classic. This is two (2) teams more than the spring league, and represents approximately 550 youths.
U6 consists of children with a birth date in the years of 2004 and 2005. All are to be familiar with the FIFA laws of the game. The sixe of the field will be 30 yards in length and 20 yards in width. The goal size will be 4.5 feet by 9 feet and the ball size will be 3.
The duration of each game will consists of 4 quarters, 8 minutes per quarter, 1 minute in between the quarters, and 5 minutes for the halftime interval.
It will be a 5 vs. 5 player game and it shall be coed. Substitution is unlimited and the minimum number of players to play is 4, and when new players arrive for the team they shall be added to the roster.
Only one coach on the field at a time and the coaches may help with verbal instructions but may not physically handle the player. If there are not enough players to sub or start the game, a team may “loan” players to another team to avoid forfeit.
Anytime a game begins below the 5 total players, the referee shall call periodic water breaks at his/her discretion.

The organization sincerely give thank to PSS, CPA, Sports and Rec. and Susupe Sports Complex for allowing NMIFA and its member Clubs to utilize their fields for their games on Saturdays.
