Men’s National Team defeats Men’s All-Stars in exhibition match

THE NMI Men’s National Team  outscored the Men’s M-League All-Stars 4-1 in an exhibition match Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.

The national team players were the first to draw blood after just 10 minutes of action with Logan Mister at the trigger.

The team continued to control the pace of the game for nearly the remainder of the first half, but as soon as the national players lowered their guard, the All-Stars struck back.

At the 28th minute mark, the All-Stars’ Xiong Zhe Li’s found the back of the net to even the score 1-1.

In the second half of the exhibition match, however, the All-Stars were nowhere to be seen as the national players showcased their offensive and defensive skills and scored three more goals.

The national team’s onslaught started at the 52nd minute mark when Kaden Church sank his team’s second goal.

The national team then continued to apply pressure and broke through once more in under 10 minutes, handing Kohtaro Goto the opportunity to connect the national team’s third goal.

The national team kept the tempo flowing with Sunjoon Tenorio adding the icing to the cake at the 80+2-minute mark to end the exhibition match with a 4-1 victory for the national team.

In the other exhibition match, the Women’s National Team edged the U15 National Team, 1-0, with Guine Borja scoring the game’s only goal at the 22nd minute mark.
