THE MP United, Tan Holdings and Kanoa football clubs emerged victorious in their respective Marianas Soccer League 1 matches at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Sunday.
MP United outplayed Hana Football Club, 6-1; Tan Holdings blanked Paire Football Club, 3-0; and Kanoa routed Eleven Tiger, 9-0.
MP United and Hana played as equals in the opening half with neither team able to gain the upper hand.
But at the 42nd minute mark, MPU finally broke through with Casey Chambers finding the back of the net to grasp control, 1-0, before going into halftime.
Early in the second half, MPU continued to ride the momentum as Jireh Yobech and Cody Shimizu joined the scoreboard with a goal each to stretch the gap.
Hana finally broke the silence after Paul Jang slipped in a shot, but MPU’s Yobech and Shimizu retaliated with a goal each followed by team mate Chris Aninzo’s goal to secure an easy win, 6-1.

The Tan Holdings Football Club joined the winner’s circle by besting the Paire Football Club, 3-0.
The first goal was made during the 35th mark by Tan Holdings’ Ronnel Ocanada while Anthony Bergancia connected two goals at the 56th and 86th minute marks.
The third victory of the day was claimed by Kanoa Football Club which defanged Eleven Tiger, 9-0.
Kanoa’s Markus Toves led the assault with a hat-trick while team mates Sebastien Manabat and Andrew Omelau delivered two goals each.
