PAIRE Football Club and Tan Holdings Football Club on Saturday topped their respective divisions in the Youth League Summer 2021 at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
In the U12 Coed Division, Paire powered past Shirley’s Football Club 5-0 to win the championship.
The never-ending pressure applied by Paire on Shirley’s was decisive as PFC aimed for the kill with every chance they had.
The first ball to find its way to the back of the net was delivered by Paire’s Rodney Tomei.
Not too long after, amid a scuffle, he slipped past the goalkeeper to score again and give his team a 2-0 lead.
Shirley’s had a tougher time in the second half as Paire once again broke through. PFC’s Jazzroy Villagomez relit the fire at the 27th minute mark while Tomei completed the hat-trick in the 37th minute.
This was followed by another Paire goal courtesy of Jayten Villagomez at the 43rd minute mark en route to a 5-0 title victory.
Tan Holdings vs Southern United
In the U15 Girls Division championship game, Tan Holdings Football Club trounced Southern United Football Club 6-1.
THFC were quick on their feet as they weaved their way through the cracks of SUFC’s defense with Tan Holdings’ Andrei Chavez scoring a goal in the 7th minute.
The team’s morale continued to improve as Audrey Castro and Rizza Relucio joined the scoreboard with a goal each at the 9th and 12th minute marks as THFC enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 lead.
In the second half, SUFC finally broke the silence thanks to Pia Ngewakl, but that was the team’s only time to shine as THFC took over once again.
Tan Holdings’ Tamia Hix was unstoppable on the attacking end, sinking three consecutive goals at the 35th, 45th and 47th minute marks to seal the win, 6-1.
