PAYDAY Hoa are on the road to recovery in the 2023 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association Open League after dominating Ready Mix, 33-15, Sunday at the Dandan baseball field.
Payday Hao had an explosive start with nine runs led by Rob Bansil and Tindin Leon Guerrero, who contributed a three-run homer and a two-run homer, respectively.
But Ready Mix returned fire with two homeruns of their own as Angel Palacios earned three RBIs and Travis Maldelbug bagged one to cut the deficit, 4-9.
After shutting down Payday Hao in the top of the second inning, Ready Mix started to build momentum with four runs to close the distance, 8-9.
However, Payday Hao cooked up a rally in the top of the third with eight runs highlighted by four homeruns while Ready Mix could only score two runs to trail 10-17.
Payday Hao then sealed the deal in the fifth inning with 15 runs that earned them an early victory via the mercy rule, 33-15.
