SHERLYN Jones topped the CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s two-day annual tournament after shooting a gross total of 166 at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
On day one, April 15, Jones cleared the course with a gross of 81. Although she slightly struggled on day two, April 16, she managed to notch a gross of 85 for a total gross score of 166 to clinch first place.
In second place was Hyun Sunny Son who shot a gross of 84 on both days for a total score of 168. Yuko Togawa came in third by shooting a day one gross of 87 and a day two gross of 88 for a gross total of 175.
In the battle for total net, Jones and Hyun Sunny Son went head-to-head, sharing a net total of 138.
But Jones shot a net score of 65 on day one, which was the deciding factor that put her on top. Her net score on day two was 73.
Hyun Sunny Son settled for second place with a day one net score of 67 and a day two net score of 71.
In third place was Flor Jones who shot a day one net of 68 and a day two net of 71 for a total net score of 139.
