SAIPAN International School seized the spotlight Thursday in the U9 and U12 events of the Public School System All School Track & Field qualifiers at the Oleai Sports Complex.
The SIS Geckos excelled in the long jump as two of them made it to the top three spots.
In the U9 age group, it was SIS’s Lucy Woo who covered the most distance at 2.75m.
Brilliant Star School’s Selina Santiago was second at 2.45m distance while SIS’s Yummy Peng took third at 2.30m.
In the U12 age group, Agape Christian School clinched the top spot thanks to Barbara Wang’s leaping ability which covered a distance of 3.53m.
Taking second place was SIS’s Eliza Culp at 3.25m, followed by Kagman Elementary School’s Terecilin Reyes at 3m.
In the U9 200m sprint, SIS’s Lucy Woo continued to shine with the quickest time of 41.19 while teammates Yummy Peng (43:94) and Michelle Im (48:00) were second and third.
As for the U12 age group, SIS also topped the charts with Aubrey White taking first place with a time of 36:14. KagES’ Terecilin Reyes was second at 36:96 while Brilliant Star School’s Alice Moon was third at 37:31.
In the U9 60m race, Yummy Peng kept SIS afloat with a finish time of 11:23 followed by Brilliant Star School’s Selina Santiago (11:67) and LoVel Spaeth (12:22).
SIS likewise topped the U12 age group with Aubrey White finishing first at 9:82 while KagES’ Terecilin Reyes was second at 10:04 and Brilliant Star School’s Alice Moon was third at 10:43.
