THE Southern United Football Club won the U13 girls division championship of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League by dominating the MP United Football Club, 10-2, Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
SUFC had an explosive start, scoring five goals in the first half.
After only a few minutes of back-and-forth action, SUFC created several shot opportunities thanks to their aggressiveness.
Rosie Saralu ignited the run with the opening goal at the 3rd minute mark while team mate Brianna Echalico delivered two consecutive goals to extend their gap.
The action did not stop there as Saralu scored her second goal while Echalico completed the hat-trick with her third goal for a comfortable 5-0 spread.
In the second half, MPU scored a pair of goals thanks to Caydence Masga and Addalee Taflinger.
For their part, SUFC picked up where they left off and delivered five more goals. Saralu scored four of them while Selena Atalig joined the onslaught as SUFC sealed the deal, 10-2.
Saralu, who scored six goals, won the Golden Boot Award.
In other games, Matansa Football Club overpowered the Kanoa Football Club 2, 6-0; Tan Holdings Football Club 1 defeated the Paire Football Club, 7-3; and Tan Holdings Football Club 2 outplayed the Southern United Football Club 2, 8-1.
