SUNNY Hyun Son topped the CNMI Women’s Golf Association’s July golf tournament on Saturday at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort east course.
Son established her lead on the front nine by shooting a gross of 43. Although she struggled on the back nine, she still performed well enough to stay ahead of the competition with a gross of 44 and a gross total of 87. With a handicap of 15, her net score was 72.
In second place was Flor Jones. Her gross scores on the front and back nines were 47 and 45 for a gross total score of 92. With a 19 handicap, her net score was 73.
Finishing third was Sae Hee Kim who shot 44 on the front and 42 on the back for a gross total of 86. With a handicap of 12, her net score was 74.
