ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD Theresa “Raptor Beast” Borja not only stole the show in the Mini ATV class as its overall champion in the 2021 Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series on Sunday, but she was also named the top rider for her near-perfect performance throughout the seven-round event
Borja has proven herself to be the best on a four-wheel ride as she placed first in six of the seven rounds of the series, including Sunday’s finale.
She garnered a total of 345 points or five points away from a perfect record. In round six she scored 45 points and dominated her class to claim overall first place and the Red Plate trophy.
She and the other top riders were honored on Wednesday in an awards banquet in the Taga Hall of Saipan World Resort.
Besides a trophy, she received $250 for finishing first in the Mini ATV class and $500 for winning the top rider award.
Placing second and third in the Mini ATV class were Jesus Santos and Melvin Reyes.
Santos amassed a total of 307 points and received a $150 cash prize.
Reyes, for his part, scored a total of 240 points and was awarded a $100 third prize.
Riders Franchesca Yumul, Kaddisy Camacho and Navaeh Camacho were also recognized for their participation.
