THE 6JMS Thunder Darts and Jonny’s Ridin’ Darrty remain the top two teams in the A Division of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association Bud Light League after their double-digit victories on Monday.
The 6JMS Thunder Darts displayed their dominance in their “home court” at 6JMS Sports Bar where they pummeled the 6JMS Mafia 13-4.
Although the Mafia’s Derick Ayuyu drew first blood in the initial Singles Regular Cricket round, the Thunder Darts quickly recuperated as Gaius “Relaks” Gille, June “Viper” Orencia and Russ Cruz won the remaining three rounds to snatch the lead, 3-1.
Their lead grew larger after Bobby “Underdog” De Leon carried his team in the Partners 701 Double In/Double Out round while paired with Gille. Team-mates Cruz and Orencia delivered as well for a clean two-win sweep.
The Mafia’s Joker Camacho clinched a few wins, but the Thunder Darts remained dominant en route to a 13-4 victory.
Jonny’s Ridin’ Darrty vs Tambayan 101 Proofers
Also performing strongly were Jonny’s Ridin’ Darrty who trampled over the Tambayan 101 Proofers 12-5.
Ridin’ Darrty opened the Singles Regular Cricket with James “Soul-lit” Benavente, Charlie Peters and Joshua “Superman” Woodson contributing a win each.
They then kept the momentum flowing with teamwork as they swept the next 701 Double In/Double Out round to take the lead, 5-1.
The 101 Proofers started to find their rhythm individually after Orly Paconlan and Nester Abing managed to split the Singles Half-It and Singles 501 Double In/Double Out round, but Ridin’ Darrty collected the remaining rounds to triumph 12-5.
6JMS Drunken Dragon vs Bistro D’Strikers
The 6JMS Drunken Dragon is now in overall fourth place in the A Division after an upset win over Bistro D’Strikers 8-7.
The Drunken Dragon’s Tony “The Tiger” Castro and Ronald Doria as well as Kenneth Kaneshi and Raymond “Yatz” Naluz were the runaway victors in the Partners 701 Double In/Double Out round.
After the teams split the next three matches, D’Strikers staged a comeback with a 3-1 run in the Singles 501 Double In/Double Out round to tie the game 8-8.
But in the final Team 1101 match, the Drunken Dragon’s teamwork proved decisive as its players sealed the deal, 9-8.
