(Press Release) — Edgar Johnson, the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games 2022 sports manager for Va’a, has announced that the Va’a course will be in the lagoon along Beach Road, about 200 meters offshore, from the 13 Fishermen Memorial Monument to the Garapan shoreline, and out to the lighthouse.
“Important equipment is currently being set up along this course and it needs to stay in place from now until the Pacific Mini Games, as it is vital for the Va’a event to occur,” Johnson added.
“It is clear that we, in the NMI, are all so proud and excited to host the Mini Games this summer, and all of us at NMPMG2022 hope that this pride extends to respecting the event venues. We all want to show the visiting countries and participants a unique, unforgettable experience all over Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.
“If the course equipment is continually treated with disrespect and stolen, then the Va’a competition may not be able to take place in June. So, If you see anything please report it!
“Please help us have an amazing and successful Pacific Mini Games!
“Thank you, NMI!”
