
The elementary school division runners take off during the 4th meet of the PSS-NMA All-School Cross Country Series SY24-25 at Kagman Elementary School on Saturday morning.
THE PSS-NMA All-School Cross Country Series SY25-26 concluded its qualifiers on Saturday morning with the fourth meet of the season at Kagman Elementary School.
William S. Reyes Elementary School and KAG seized the spotlight as the leading schools, each finishing with 30 points in their respective divisions and heading into next week’s championships with high morale.
In the girls elementary division, WSR came out on top with 30 points, followed by Saipan International School and Brilliant Star School tied at 32, San Vicente Elementary with 75, Grace Christian Academy with 77, and Saipan Community School with 80.
Team scores in cross country are calculated by adding the finishing places of each school’s top runners, with the lowest score winning.
SCS’ Iris Qin led the race in 7:45, followed by WSR’s Riem Hernandez (8:08) and BSS’ Jairie Camacho (8:17). Rounding out the top 10 were BSS’ Lana Frederick (8:22), SIS’ Miriam Flores (8:30), SIS’ Olivia Walsh (8:34), WSR’s Makenna Pangelinan (8:37), BSS’ Simone Smith (8:59), SIS’ Meghan Sanciangco (9:01), and WSR’s Jaymie Dimasacat (9:15).
In the boys elementary division, KAG used its home advantage to secure first place with 30 points. They were followed by BSS with 49, Garapan Elementary with 64, WSR with 65, Oleai Elementary with 80, GCA with 85, SCS with 105, SVES with 123, Koblerville with 139, Mount Carmel with 157, Eucon with 160, and SIS with 186.
BSS’ Delcan Spaeth recorded his fourth straight first-place finish, clocking 7:21. He was followed by GES’ Eliis Fehrenbacker (7:27) and WSR’s Charlee Cajes (7:28).
Also making the top 10 were SVES’ Anthony Acosta (7:32), KAG’s Jace Brennfleck (7:54), KAG’s Brayden Brennfleck (7:58), KAG’s Tristen Carino (7:58), GCA’s Alex Juho (8:04), WSR’s Kerry Huang (8:05), and OES’ Patrick Pangelinan (8:10).
