YI Su Jeong on Saturday topped the CNMI Women’s Golf Association February tournament at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
Jeong started strong on the front nine, and with a handful of pars, she shot a gross of 41.
Although she struggled during the transition to the back nine, Jeong maintained a steady back swing and scored a gross of 44 for a total gross score of 85. With a handicap of 9, she ended with a net score of 76 to secure first place.
In second place was Kobel Nirami who scored a gross of 45 on the front nine and 43 on the back for a gross total of 88. Her 9 handicap gave her a net score of 79.
Finishing third was Tuko Togawa who shot a gross of 39 on the front nine, but could not maintain consistency on the back, shooting a gross of 43 for a total gross of 82. With a 2 handicap, her net score was 80.
