Golden Harvest International School’s day care program cares for children for whole day or half time in a supervised setting while parents are at work or on trainings.
Day Care Goal and Programs
The school’s main goal is to meet the needs of the children under its care to nurture their developmental, social emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth.
The day care teachers and caregivers work hand in hand in helping meet the basic needs of the children. They organize activities that stimulate the child’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual growth.
Teachers explore the child’s interest to develop his/her talent, help build the child’s self-confidence, and help the child to learn how to behave when with other kids. DCCA approved are welcome!
Golden Harvest International School opened on Aug. 8, 2011. The school can accommodate 10 to 15 students per class from K3 to 6th grade and students are accepted all year round.
Golden Harvest offers reasonable tuition fees. Parents must visit the campus and discuss the discounts at the office. Currently, the school has nine teachers with new faces on board.
Golden Harvest advantage
School principal Marilyn Divino said at Golden Harvest International School, the teachers and staff use positive relationships and engagement strategies to nurture the children’s success as learners.
“The teachers and staff are trained to balance the needs of each child and family due to the endless demands of our program,” Divino said.
The school emphasizes that their most important job for each day is to be present for children and take time to have genuine conversations with them as talking with children helps them to be recognized, respected and appreciated.
This in turn helps them feel good about themselves and safe to explore, experiment, question and test new limits…all pre-requisites for learning,” Divino added.
School president Susan Deblois said from day one, the students begin to have a full sense of belonging as they provide them a healthy beginning and a firm foundation that helps them develop their full potential and make their developmental assets a part of their lives.
“It is our hope to see our children grow with positive values and sense of purpose. I believe that every person in the community should help create a better world and positive future for our children,” Deblois said.
