Ambrose M. Bennett
THE Truth is Ambrose M. Bennett has been promoting the ideology & methodology of “One People One Direction” for over two decades, yet this phenomenon has remained elusive that is reflected in our poor economy & quality of life. I have also been yelling & demanding FOR and Economic Recovery Plan, which is the FIRST STEP to rebuilding our economy that has been devastated. NO plan is a plan for FAILURE, as I’m sure most voters know this simple FACT and the next Governor must have the mandate FOR an Economic Recovery Plan. The main reason Arnold and previous Republicans have refused to offer a plan is because they KNOW they will be held accountable for the plan; thus WE haven’t seen any form of an Economic Plan since the conception of the Tourism Industry! First things First, and I’m sure most voters are now agreeing with Ambrose M. Bennett on the need for a real Economic Recovery Plan. There are a lot of things WE can do even in this economic slump that will add to our recovery efforts in the long run, but no one is doing any work to make anything better, new & different FOR the CNMI & her People — it’s called “Progressivism for CHANGE”! When will the CNMI CHANGE for the Better and what is the Plan, especially when Locals are leaving daily while Arnold does nothing to address & change this detrimental mainland migration pattern!
Arnold has yet to use the tool of “diplomacy” to address our need for Tourists, as he is only focusing on begging for money that he will surely manipulate with no real plan. Creating a genuine Diplomatic Relationship with Japan & China will provide a solid foundation for our efforts to regain the tourists from these countries. However, WE must be cognizant of the “geopolitical theater & the economic variables of these countries.” In fact, the Diplomacy at the Federal Level will also be-in-play, especially with China. So, WE need a “Plan-B” beyond China & Japan to work-on, as the more tourists the better. If they had listened to create a “family destination with a Theme Park,” We would even have thousands of tourists from our region who travel abroad for this experience. But who listens to a real Economic Artist who was educated to build & grow economies. Arnold & Unknown Crew making their “picnic table decisions” and only begging the Feds is not the answer, as WE must do the Economic Planning & Work to find real prosperity!
I agree with most of what our Delegate said to the HR Group about our economy & jobs, as it is critical that WE all work together as One People in One Direction to accomplish the goals of OUR workforce. But the problem still looms big, as to WHAT is the Master Plan & who is leading these REFORMS for the lack of a better term, as the workforce is being addressed in a “scatter-brain effort.” I commend NMC, PSS and NMTI for their initiatives to help in the transition & stabilization of our workforce but there is still no Government Systemic Master Plan to address the entire workforce. Uncle John Gonzales was right about the DATA, as we are making assumptions but come 2029, WE will need solid PROOF (data) on the need for CWs & our effort to transition because if WE don’t it could be another Federal Takeover of our CWs. I tried to offer a proven Workforce Transition Plan in a “Public Service Program” that addresses ALL the areas of employment while training & placement of Locals (youth & adults) in jobs, which is “on the job training.” The Public Service Program is a well-documented program that has proven to be successful in stabilizing & growing the skilled workforce in Mexico. Maybe our new Delegate will listen to the scholar & economist who studied the program’s details and success in Mexico. The CNMI has a justifiable argument for CWs, but WE must do the work to deliver evidence & our efforts, come 2029! WE must start doing the WORK, or it’s another Fed takeover!
The Truth is our leaders can’t get ahead of Ambrose on the Economy because I’ve addressed so much of what needs to be done and to try and fix the economy, they will have to address many of the things I’ve already written about. There has been no argument nor proof that Ambrose is or was wrong and our leaders seem to be impotent when it comes to their own ideas or anything to help our economy. However, our leaders can’t say Ambrose is Right for the you-know-what in them, instead of professionalism prevailing giving credit where its due in the best interests of the CNMI. It would be funny if it wasn’t so serious & sad, as our leaders are caught in a “catch-22” paradox of their own making. They can’t say thanks nor even do the work to address the economy now without virtually addressing something Ambrose has already shared with the People and doing something Ambrose said is a “no no” even if it has merits but time is on my side, as it only takes one. I’m sure readers agree, non-economists will NEVER “out-do a real economist” and our devastated economy is PROOF they should’ve listened to Ambrose, the real economist, a very long time ago! Prosperity has always been attainable if “they would listen to the expert and do the economic planning, diplomacy and work” to attain prosperity.
One People, One Direction.
