OPINION ǀ Truth 120: Silence IS Complicity, White Supremacist(s) & Citizenry!

THE Truth is “silence is a CLEAR conformation of being Complicit & Supportive of events & activities,” which is the very reason WHY the CNMI can’t get rid of “corruption, nepotism, favoritism, economic & impotency in social elevation.” Our leaders have figured out that WE the People are NOT going to complain about ANYTHING, thus WE continue to get the Same – O TAYA in Reforms to fix our economy and improve on the quality of life. I’m sure every open-minded & fair citizen & business owner WANT these reforms of improvements. However, everyone does not have these moral attributes, and my #1 Fan “Saipan Man” is the PERFECT example of the White Supremacy & Bigotry that citizens are being complicit in by being silent. Saipan Man’s comments to my Op ed on Juneteenth tells a chilling story of complicity as he said, “Yet another fake holiday from a culture that has none and Where’s the day to remember the white President & soldiers that died so you can rant on her? They (CWs) don’t need a day, being allowed to come work here is appreciation enough. No holiday for commie MLK.” Magahet  even said “Juneteenth is pure jive.”

I refuse to believe the majority of citizens agree with this PURE Bigotry & White Supremacy Talk but they need to know their SILENCE is a form of complicity. Stop letting “bigots & White Supremist get away with their racism ruling the Comment Section,” as these bigots would have been verbally massacred on the mainland but not one comment to “defend the CNMI & the Progress being promoted. WE the People must send every message possible that WE do NOT condone this White Supremacy talk! OUR Economy is NOT about Ambrose but a fight FOR the People in the good messages of TRUTH that Ambrose shares. “WE are what WE do & fail to do” and “all it takes for evil to prevail is for the good People to do & say nothing (TAYA),” this is the true reality and WHY WE can’t find Progress, as People LEAVE! How can WE sit still and not DEMAND an Economic Recovery Plan just because Ambrose said it FIRST – bigotry wall in the way! As an Economist, it is truly frustrating to see our leaders violate some of the “Basic Principles of Economics” when it comes to our Economy as the BIGGEST mistake is the “lack-there-of an Economic Recovery Plan” being implemented, which is Economics 101 for first year Economics Students. WHY haven’t the Citizens who are SUFFERING the most said something and even DEMANDED an Economic Recovery Plan, as it’s about the merited NEED, not because Ambrose said it first.  Having taught “citizenship” I’m sure every person with common sense realizes WE need a real PLAN, especially when Tourist Arrivals & Hotel occupancy plummets into the abyss.

So far only the Editor Zaldy, Joaquin O. Romolor and Businessman Steve Jang are speaking Up & Out, however, there is COMPLETE Silence on OUR Economy from leaders & citizens which really empowers our leaders to continue with the Same – O TAYA without any fear of accountability nor reprisal from their Bosses – the People! If WE can learn anything from our counterparts on the mainland who protest in the millions-of-People, it is the fact that WE the People must Learn-How to PROTEST the things that “WE Want & Do Not want.” Our Leaders are all Humans who FEAR losing their job and protesting is the very BEST way to put them on notice to do what the People want NOW or get fired, which is really what the founders of America wanted & expected of citizens in the Federalist Papers which gives us the KEYS to successful governing! If People continue to be silent for the Same–O it may NEVER change for the BETTER in the CNMI. Citizens must come-of-age and protest like a REAL Democracy OF, FOR & BY the People!

I can remember our children on the mainland desperately needing their scholarship checks to register & maintain their life on the mainland and I called for a Protest. Well, Ambrose was the lone protester who ended up on the Front Page of the newspaper as if Ambrose was the only person with a child in this awful situation. Ambrose’s protest did push the Government to issue the checks the next day, but it tells a chilling story about our citizens who also had children in a desperate situation and their parents did TAYA to HELP them – sounds familiar about other things in the CNMI for TRUE! Locals are GREAT People Socially but AWFUL when it comes to owning OUR politics and being Good-Stewards of the CNMI. WE let them destroy OUR Economy & Social Life which is why Citizens in the CNMI must CHANGE if the CNMI is to Change for the BETTER.  WE, the CNMI, can only be as good or better as WE “want & demand,” however, WE are not demanding anything – HELLER & Please Wake-up Citizens! But you can bet there are People complaining about Ambrose but haven’t done anything to try and influence real change for the BETTER! Ambrose does NOT pick and choose who to hold accountable or to give a shout-out in KUDOS, as my decisions are based on the MERITS, which is WHY readers can attest to the fact that Ambrose holds BOTH Parties & Independents accountable and Ambrose also offers KUDOS to Republicans, Democrats & Independents when they DESERVE the recognition!  Get REAL CNMI, especially Dems, or ELSE the Same-O!

One People, One Direction.
