I WOULD like to express my sincere appreciation to Coast Guard Auxiliarist Officer Theodoro Romolor of Saipan Flotilla 2-29, the Smiling Cove Marina staff, and other persons of the community who assisted us in logistic and expert support during National Safe Boating Week that ended on May 23. We had a productive week with an estimated 200 persons visiting our display booth. An encouraging reality was that the boating public is indeed concerned about recreational boating safety and how to prevent accidents from occurring.
We found this out through the water safety issues and questions discussed during the week. The boating public is requested to continue to be safety conscious and prudent on the waters while enjoying the bounty and beauty it has to offer. Please do not litter in it.
