| AT the ending of every Roman Catholic Mass, our priest always ends the service with the phrase “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.” Before we receive the Holy Eucharist, we also hear the “Peace be with you” and we again respond “and also with you.” Only with peace can we have harmony, otherwise chaos will rule. At present, we have a group that wants to promote world peace and at the same time, invest on our island in areas that is for our own good. For many years, we talk about investments. But at the same time, we implement policies that obviously discourage it. For many years, we behave like sharks. We ask too much too soon only to chase away potential investments. Let us now not make the same mistake. In my opinion, there is nothing better than investing in peace. Remember, Rota will be on the spotlight as the leader for world peace. After all, we pride ourselves as a friendly peaceful island. We should put that to the test now. We should also listen to our Senate president and be open minded on this matter. Look deeper. Perhaps we may find something good or the opposite. If we believe that the good outweighs the negative aspects, we should move forward and quickly. If this group is for peace, my heart is with them. Peace be with you all. FRANK M. ATALIG |
