THE culmination of the San Jose Fiesta last weekend was a great success to the eyes and ears of those who were on Tinian. The waves of the economic pinch were peaceful to the degree that everyone had a good time to come down to Tinian and celebrate the annual celebration of the San Jose Fiesta.
To those of you from Saipan, Tinian, Rota, Guam and abroad who dropped by Julian T. Sakisat’s fund-raising booth (he is a leukemia patient in Honolulu), I salute you with respect and appreciation for your untiring humanitarian contribution and support for my son. To those who dropped by and donated whatever little amount, I cannot remember all of your faces, but rest assured that the Man upstairs had already witnessed your visible kindness and is waiting to reward you for your kindness. And in recognition of those volunteers who worked so tirelessly and unselfishly for my son’s fund-raising during the fiesta, I humbly extend my powerful salutation and appreciation to Gabriel Evangelista, former Sen. Serafin Dela Cruz, Shirlin Harjani, Joey Iriarte, Jose Taitano, Denise Guiao, Angel Cruz, Zack Gifford, Rena Palacios, Peter Sakisat, Renee Hofschneider of the National Honor Society of Tinian High School, Julian Hofschneider, Florine Hofschneider, Senator Kiyu, and many more.
The culmination of the San Jose Fiesta 2002 is another feat of Mayor Frank Borja’s administration. His boys and girls really worked hard to make the fiesta a feisty one for everyone. The backbones and skeletons of the entire culmination were well-planned and constructed by Mayor Borja’s administration. Therefore, Mayor Borja deserves a commanding salute and appreciation, not only for himself, but to his hard working crewmembers, wife, children, and family members. Now that the annual celebration of the San Jose Fiesta 2002 is finished, we should all start focusing on the next annual celebration of the Liberation Day in July this year.RAY M. SAKISAT
