THE Department of Public safety is investigating a drowning incident at Stayhill Resort in Papago that led to the death of a 5-year-old girl.
The child died on Monday at the Commonwealth Health Center, Variety learned.
On Tuesday morning, police investigators were at the resort taking photos and interviewing staff.
The resort manager, who declined to be identified, said the tragic incident happened last week.
He said Stayhill Resort’s operations are suspended temporarily. He declined to provide additional information about the incident.
DPS spokesman Andre Pangelinan, for his part, said, “I will send out more info once it becomes available.”
