JUST Chillin’ BulaChelu’s remained overall second place in the team standings of the Tuesday B Division of the Saipan Electronic Darts Association Bud Light League after defeating Just Chillin’ Team Kalakas 9-6.
In the 301 Double In/Double Out round, BulaChelu’s Juan Ogarto, James Tudela and Joe Esteves started strong, claiming three of the four matches to give their team the lead.
But Team Kalakas returned fire by sweeping the Partners Crazy Cricket round and splitting the Partners 501 Double In/Double Out match to even the score 5-5.
BulaChelu’s then pulled a 3-1 run to regain the lead 7-5 before clinching a two-win sweep in the Partners Half-It round. Team Kalakas bagged the final Team 1101 match but it wasn’t enough to prevent BulaChelu’s 9-6 victory.
6JMS Champinos vs Tambayan GVD Mix
The 6JMS Champinos, who are third overall in the team standings, trounced Tambayan GVD Mix 10-5.
Consistency was the key to the Champinos’ victory starting with a 3-1 run in the opening round, thanks to Jeff Javier, Tristan Javier and Russ Cruz.
GVD Mix tried to bounce back with Rodlee Jimeno and Jasmer Paulis splitting the Partners Crazy Cricket round, but the Champinos managed to pull away again with a two-win sweep in the next Partners 501 Double In/Double Out round to stay in the lead, 6-2.
GVD Mix’s Jimeno and Jersey Sakool split the Singles Regular Cricket round but the Champinos’ teamwork was more than enough to claim both rounds of the Partners Half-It match to secure the win, 10-5.
For its part, 6JMS Hella Darrty, the top team in the standings, notched its 21st win by pummeling 6JMS Shaka 13-2.
