
THE CNMI Division of Energy is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Cool Roof Rebate Program outreach event on Saturday, July 12, 2025, on Tinian at the Tinian Youth Center, to assist residential homeowners to improve the cooling efficiency of their homes, reduce cooling costs and save money on utility bill by lowering energy use.
The event will commence at 9 a.m. and will officially close upon confirmation that the total number of completed applications for available rebate vouchers is determined and received.
Receive a $200 rebate voucher to purchase approved roof coating products per 5-gallon pail, up to four 5-gallon pails total per household.
Maximum rebate voucher benefit: $800 per household
Who is eligible
Residential homeowners residing in a Single-family dwelling unit on Tinian.
Lessees of real properties residing in a Single-family dwelling unit, and is the primary residence, with a lease-term of 55 years.
Landlords of rental properties and or Tenants of rental properties are not eligible to apply for, or receive rebate vouchers for cool roof products.
Businesses and commercial properties are also not eligible for this program.
Funding availability for this rebate program is limited, therefore, rebate vouchers will be approved on a first-come, first-served basis. Submission of an application for rebate vouchers does not guarantee approval.
Residents are encouraged to come early and bring:
Copy of a valid government-issued photo ID (U.S. passport, driver’s license, municipal ID)
CUC utility billing (applicant must be the account holder)
