THE athletes of William S. Reyes Elementary School and Oleai Elementary School gave spectators a good show during the Public School System All School Track & Field Qualifiers held Tuesday at the Oleai Sports Complex.
Starting with the 100m race, the girls of WSR and OES gave it their all in the separate age divisions.
In the U9 age group, Memzie Elieisar claimed first place with a time of 19:59. OES’ Floreigh Lanoy was second, clocking in at 20:69 while Saipan Community School’s Lily Lim finished third at 22:41.
The second group of the U9 100m race was also led by OES thanks to Alina Esakova finishing strong at 17:95, nearly two minutes ahead of the competition.
OES continued to celebrate as schoolmates Elena Teigita and Jayla Ayuyu claimed second and third places, clocking in at 19:31 and 20:59.
In the U12 division, WSR had the spotlight as Aires Jo Magofna clinched first place with a time of 18:92 while OES’ Reanni Sablan followed behind in second place at 19:20 and Sandra Chargualaf was third at 19:63.
As for the U9 400m race, it was Esakova triumphing once again to put OES on top with a finish time of 1:33.
SCS’ Allie Brasuell was second at 1:36 followed by WSR’s Mamzie Elieisar at 1:42.
OES also topped the U12 group in the 400m race: Reanni Sablan took first place, clocking in at 1:59 while schoolmate Sandra Chargualaf came in second at 2:07. They were the only participants.
OES also displayed dominance in the U9 Girls Softball Throw. Elena Teigita’s strength was unmatched as she threw a distance of 18.15m followed by Alina Esakova, 16.85m; Jayla Ayuyu, 12.35m; and Floreigh Lanoy, 10.35m.
In the U12 Girls Softball Throw, the lone participant was WSR’s Aires Magofna who marked a distance of 11.1m.
