(Press Release) — On April 18, 2021, the CNMI’s Bayani or Heroes Association, in coordination with Venesa Buen and other volunteers, distributed care packages to 30 families in Paciano, Rizal Bay, Laguna province, south of Manila, the Philippines.
Due to the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine implemented by the Philippine government, each of the recipients had to pick up the donations separately.
The care packages included canned goods, bread, spread, noodles, 15 lbs of rice, coffee, crackers, cookies, powdered milk, face shield, and alcohol.
“We can always help in our own little way and we are also so grateful to our donors, Ms. Anna Mercado and Jimmy Del Peralta,” Bayani Association president Annamae Adaza said.
Bayani would also like to thank the volunteers who helped distribute the care packages: Fhe Calabia, Dolly Driz, Rowena Lapitan, Ruth Faith Navarro, and Venesa Buen.
If you wish to collaborate with Bayani Association in giving back to the community, please call Annamae Adaza at 285-4388 or Marie Paz Meister at 785-0349.
