Former casino pit supervisor settles complaint against IPI for $60K

YUQIN Gui has settled her complaint against Imperial Pacific International LLC for $60,000.

Gui and IPI, through their respective attorneys, are asking the federal court to dismiss the lawsuit, saying that the parties have entered into a written agreement.

Their settlement and general release agreement provided for the entry of judgment against IPI in the amount of $60,000, the stipulation added.

Each party will bear its own attorney’s fees and costs while reserving the court’s jurisdiction to enforce the judgment and terms of the settlement in the event of any default.

In the event of a default, the stipulation added, the parties agree that the plaintiff may file a copy of the settlement agreement and bring an action to enforce the judgment and the terms of the settlement agreement under the remaining jurisdiction reserved to the court.

IPI is represented by attorney Stephen Nutting while Gui is represented by attorneys William M. Fitzgerald and Bruce Berline.

Gui filed a complaint against Stephen Brown, accusing him of sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Brown is a former pit manager of Imperial Pacific International LLC while Gui is a former pit supervisor of the casino investor.

Gui’s lawsuit also accused IPI of negligent supervision and ratification.

Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona of the District Court for the NMI recently dismissed with prejudice Gui’s complaint against Brown following a separate settlement agreement.
