Tasi To Table students are ready for Wahoo in the Marianas

TASI To Table students are spearheading the 2nd Wahoo in the Marianas which is set for Saturday, March 6, at the Smiling Cove Marina from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The awards ceremony will start at 5:30 p.m.

The tournament fee is $200 for one captain and two anglers, and $25 for each additional angler.

The first prize is $2,000; second prize, $1,500; and third prize, $1,000.

TTT president Gene Weaver made sure the students are ready for anything, including the questions that could be asked by the contestants.

According to the TTT Spotlight newsletter, most of the students’ organizing committees have already completed their preparatory tasks.

In a recent meeting, Weaver also announced a raffle to select three  students who will be crew members of Captain Alex Castro Jr. in the 2021 Wahoo in the Marianas and the 17th Annual Mahi Mahi Derby in April.

The student anglers chosen via raffle were Kaiannylupe Cruz, Rudy Castro and Heaven Hocog.
