ON Feb. 17, 2021 Saipan Southern High School Manta Ray Battalion provided parking detail at the St. Jude Parish Church for the Ash Wednesday Mass.
We arrived at 4 p.m. to receive our operational briefing from the Saint Jude Youth Leadership and to prepare for the hour-long event.
Half the cadets made sure that the cars were parked correctly, while the other half was making sure the pedestrians crossed the road safely by stopping the cars on the road.
Once Mass was over, the cadets once again provided assistance to motorists and pedestrians to ensure their safety.
The battalion completed the community service at approximately 7:30 p.m. It was another successful event.
