TINIAN — Team RCC took the top spot and $2,000 cash prize in the 1st Tinian Wahoo Derby by catching a 40lbs wahoo.
The derby, which ran from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 13, was organized by the Tinian Fishermen’s Association in collaboration with the Tinian Mayor’s Office and the Marianas Visitors Authority.

Team Sweet Candy went home with the $1,500 second prize for a 34.5 lbs. wahoo while Team Victoria Lei earned $1,000 for finishing third with a 33.5 lbs. catch.

• Biggest Billfish Caught — Team Star Marianas Seacraft with a 50 lbs. marlin.
• Biggest Pelagic Fish Caught — Team GEO4REEL for a 22 pounder.
