(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Cohort 2 of the Career Pathway Internship Program officially kicked off last week Monday. With the application deadline on May 30, 2025, and the first day of work set for June 16, 2025, the interim period was dedicated to ensuring clear communication and expectations through orientation and workshop.
During this time, we conducted orientation for parents, students, and industry partners. These sessions aimed to align everyone involved on the goals, responsibilities, and structure of the program, ensuring a strong foundation for a successful internship experience.
On Friday, June 13, 55 interns from Cohort 2 came together for an engaging Internship Preparedness Workshop. The day started with a fun icebreaker and Internship Preparedness Bingo, helping interns connect with one another and build camaraderie.
The workshop also included interactive activities that introduced students to professional expectations in the workplace. One of the highlights was the “Dress to Impress” challenge, where interns worked in teams to research and style mannequins that represented different workplace dress codes. In addition, interns participated in short lectures focused on internship tips, program expectations, and strategies for making the most of their internship experience.
As of Monday, June 16, interns from Cohort 2 have officially begun their internship placements. Students had an option to select terms between 3, 6 or 9 months, depending on their availability and career interests.
The SCC is excited to see them grow, build professional relationships, and gain hands-on experience in their chosen fields.
The SCC extends its sincere gratitude to Northern Marianas College for generously providing the venue for the Internship Preparedness Workshop.
The SCC would also like to thank its dedicated industry partners who have committed their time and resources to mentoring the interns. This program would not be possible without their continued support:
