BLACK 8 Rack N Roll has moved up to second place in the Thursday Division leaderboards of the 2025 Budweiser Open 8-Ball League, notching a total of 18 wins after triumphing over Black 8 Crooked Arrow 2, 9-4, in Thursday’s match at the Black 8 Pool Bar.

Rack N Roll 2 found their groove early in the night as Mei Rengiil, Chris Camacho, Julian Reyes, and Anson Smith showcased their individual skills by sweeping the opening Singles 8-Ball set for a 4-0 lead.

Even in pairs, Rack N Roll 2’s morale remained unshaken. John Reyes and Rengiil defeated Crooked Arrow 2’s Ken Chen and Patrick Taitano, leaving six balls still on the table, while Camacho and Julian Reyes clinched the second game to complete another two-win sweep and extend the lead to 6-0.

Midway through the match, Crooked Arrow 2 mounted a rally as Chen, Rey Hermogenes, and Taitano responded with a 3-1 run during the second set of Singles 8-Ball games, narrowing the gap to 7-3.

Momentum appeared to be on their side when Rex Tasi and Chen took the first game of the Partners 8-Ball set. But Rack N Roll 2 closed the door, as John Reyes and Camacho won the second game and then secured the final Partners 8-Ball game to seal the victory, 9-4.
