Piao led the score board on the first day, shooting one over 37 in both the front and back nines. The eight-handicapper grossed 74 and resulted with a 66 net. Jesse Seman came in at second place, shooting 36 at the front nine and 39 in the back for a 68 net.
“Joe Wabol shot 69 for third and Nick Guerrero completed with 70 to place top four,” said RGA’s Jordon Kosam in an email.
Again, Piao Led the scores on day two with a 74 net. He bested all RGA members to claim the ‘Annual Ace of Aces Placido M. Tagabuel Club Champion’ award. The RGA will sponsor Piao next year in any tournament of this choice.
His annual membership is also waived as part of the Club Championship’s package, in addition to his $320 cash prize. The ‘Low Net Champion Sid K. Peter’ award went to Jess Wabol for recording the lowest overall net of 634.
Both Tars Olopai and Joe Saures received the ‘Tony Taitano Award.’
‘Closest to the pins’ at the East Course were Tony Satur (Hole No. 4), Tars Olopai (Hole No. 6), Jess Seman (Hole No. 11), and Tony Rogolifoi (Hole No. 15). Taking the same award at the West Course were Jess Wabol (Hole No. 3), Ray Tigilau (Hole No. 7), Manny Mangarero (Hole No. 13), and Diwain Stephens (Hole No. 17).
Following Guerrero in the rankings were Mangarero (142), Joe Saures (146), Jesse Seman (147), Satur (151), Stephens (154), Nick Sablan (157), Tom Tebuteb (160) Olopai (161), Tigilau (161), Rogolifoi (165), Wabol (166), and Jordon Kosam (167).
