Park Ranger Susan Fishman-Tudor said the musical group from Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska will be presenting an exciting mix of diversified music featuring instrumental versions of classic rock, funk, jazz, ragtime, classical and modern pop music.
The concert is sponsored by the National Park Service, American Memorial Park, and the Office of Military and Veterans Affairs.
Alaska Brass is a component of the Band of the Pacific and has six members — five brass and one percussionist who have been performing many styles of music at educational, ceremonial and concert venues. Since 1977, Alaska Brass has performed concerts for various audiences in Alaska, Hawaii, Australia, Japan, Korea, Guam, Yukon and the British Columbia in Canada.
The band represents the 43,000 military and civilian personnel serving the Air Force in Hawaii, Alaska, Japan, Korea and Guam.
Last October, the band toured four native villages in Alaska.
Fishman-Tudor is inviting the community to come and grab the chance to listen to fabulous music.
