The session was originally scheduled to start at 10 a.m. on Monday but only eight members of the House leadership showed up, prompting Ogumoro, Covenant-Saipan, to postpone it until further notice.
Yesterday morning, Ogumoro scheduled a session for 10 a.m. today.
Later in the afternoon, however, she cancelled the session.
This puzzled Rep. Stanley T. Torres, Ind.-Saipan, who noted that not all of the minority bloc members could attend the session.
Torres, a pro-administration member who now aligns himself with the Republican minority bloc, said they could not take over the leadership yesterday.
Torres said he wonders what the House leadership is trying to do.
“She could have moved head and called whoever minority bloc members were around. I’m sure they would still have the majority,” Torres said.
