Dianne Marie Redor Sablan completed 228 hours of community service and has an outstanding balance of 72 hours.
“She performs community service daily and will continue to do so until the day her case expires,” Federal Probation Officer Melinda B. Santos told the court.
“Ms. Sablan has been compliant with her supervised release conditions and has made good faith effort to comply with the community service condition,” the report stated.
On Dec. 21, 2007, Sablan began serving three years of her supervised release.
During her term, the probation office stated, Sablan encountered numerous obstacles that prevented her from completing her community service, including financial and transportation problems.
Santos said she monitored Sablan’s activities and verified the validity of her reports.
On July 12, 2010, Sablan obtained a full time employment with a local hotel and has been working steadily, Santos said.
Sablan was recently named “employee of the month,” Santos added.
After getting a job, Sablan entered into a garnishment agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office so she can make monthly payments toward her restitution.
After serving seven months in prison, Sablan was placed under three years of supervised release for her role in a fraudulent income tax refund scheme.
