The ship is bringing store goods and other needed materials and supplies for the neighboring islands’ people in time for the holidays.
The ship is also transporting guests and other people who will be participating in a big celebration in Woleai Atoll for Fr. John Hagileiram, who will mark the 25th anniversary of his priesthood.
The vessel’s trip is a combination of health and Christmas run as the state Department of Health Service will also be sending a team to conduct service on all the islands where the ship will make stops on the way out as well as during the return leg of the trip.
MV Hapilmohol departed from the commercial dock at 4 p.m. and was headed to Ulithi first.
