Fire guts Koblerville house

She said  they immediately called the fire division, but the fire truck arrived at 6 p.m. or almost one hour after they called and 30 minutes after a police car arrived in the area.

Koblerville has a fire station, which is near Han Nam.

“It was very disappointing that they arrived very late,” Albiso told Variety.

When the firefighters arrived, it took them about 15 minutes to prepare their gear before they started extinguishing the fire, Albiso added.

The fire division did not return this reporter’s calls and as of yesterday, fire investigators had not yet established the cause of fire.

All of the occupants, including Floro Bautista his sons Bryl Alegre and Raymart, daughter Kimberly, and niece Beverly Sarco, were unharmed.

But all their electronic gadgets including computer sets, laptops and other valuables costing about $10,000 were destroyed by the blaze, Albiso said.

June Concillado, United Workers Movement vice president, assisted the victims. He said the fire division should improve its services to the public.

The victims also received assistance from the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ – 4th Watch, the American Red Cross, the TSL Foundation, the Salvation Army and community members.

Concillado said the Red Cross provided the victims about $1,000 worth of vouchers for purchase of clothes, including the needs of their children.

The TSL Foundation provided $200 worth of groceries.
