750 video lottery machines to arrive on Saipan

They  plan to install the video lottery machines at all hotels in the CNMI, and at the airports on Saipan, Tinian and Rota.

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial said the group cannot operate until the regulation is out, probably by the end of the month.

Press Secretary Angel A. Demapan said the new regulation is “a work in progress.”

Variety also learned that one of the video lottery machines that will be used for demonstration purposes at the Saipan World Resort is already at the office of the Division of Revenue and Taxation which issued PET a business license a few months ago.

PET said as soon as the regulation is out, the video lottery machines will be shipped to Saipan from Nova Scotia.

Prior to the formation of PET, Techlink Entertainment design manager Vince White and vice president for sales Lee Anne McKenzie met with the local incorporators along with Fitial and Lt. Gov. Eloy S. Inos in March.

The gambling operations, according to PET, will start as soon as the Attorney General’s Office gives them the “go signal” which may happen later this month.
