Wing Yee Tse has denied one count of misuse of credit card filed by the Attorney General’s Office against her.
Presiding Judge Robert C. Naraja remanded Tse to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.
She is being held on a $5,000 cash bail.
Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig is representing Tse.
On or about Oct. 30, 2010, Tse unlawfully used a fake credit card and purchased $4,210 worth of products at DFS, according to Assistant Attorney General Russel Lorfing, the prosecutor.
Authorities are now looking for a man, who is said to be the mastermind of this illegal activity.
Detective Buddy Igitol said Tse obtained the fake credit card from a man, identified only as “Principal,” in Shenzhen, China, before going to Saipan.
