Guerrero said he has never stopped thinking of how to make less fortunate children happier, especially during the holidays.
With the help of the office of Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan who got toys and children’s books from the Library of Congress, the 16-year-old is supporting the 2010 CNMI Christmas toy drive, “Toys for Tots.”
In partnership with Marianas Health Services, IT&E, the Rotary Club of Saipan, Lollipops and Karidat, Guerrero and Propst will provide boys and girls up to 12 years old with brand new toys and books for Christmas.
Guerrero said the children “are our future.”
“They should not be afraid of not getting something for Christmas because we always have something for them,” he said.
The toys they are providing, Guerrero said, are special.
Propst said the whole purpose of Toys for Tots is about giving. He thanked the sponsors IT&E, Marianas Health Services, Lollipops, Karidat and the Rotary Club of Saipan for their support.
In these tough times, he said, people are still willing to give “as much as we possibly can.”
“Those who have financial resources, I hope they can also help,” he added.
The last day of turning in toys will be on Dec. 19.
