Arts Council coordinator Lucille Ayuyu said they are still finalizing the venue and the opening date of the exhibit, but some local artists have already expressed interest to join.
“We have been in contact with several local artists already, and we are just finalizing details,” Ayuyu said.
The exhibit is the last of the three events hosted by the Arts Council each year. Among the items usually sold during the Christmas exhibit are small Christmas ornaments, trinkets, jewelry and other hand-made items.
The other two major exhibits are the Women’s Art Exhibit in March and the Pacifica Arts and Cultural Exhibit in September.
Proceeds from all items sold go back to the artists.
Local artists can join the exhibits for free as these events are held to “help them cultivate their talents, promote their work and find a suitable market, and to create a link to the buyers of the art products.”
