In a floor statement by Sen. Jesse Raglmar Subolmar, he said the resolution from the Pohnpei legislature mirrors exactly what was adopted by the seventh Yap legislature.
Raglmar said a meeting he recently attended in Palikir, which was called for by the FSM Congress, was “useless” as most of the identified problems don’t need more discussions and resolutions but action to ensure solvency of the program on a sustainable level without adding more burden on the beneficiaries of the social security pension.
Overall, the Yap legislators applauded their colleagues in Pohnpei for coming up with the resolution.
