Senate appoints Zinchefsky as new counsel

During its last session, the Palau Senate appointed lawyer Ryan Zinchefsky as the Senate Legislative Counsel for the Eight Olbiil Era Kelulau.

The Senate formalized his appointment with a resolution which was unanimously passed on Tuesday. The resolution was introduced by Senate Floor Leader Raynold Oilouch.

In a phone interview, Senator Hokkons Baules said the Senate moved to appoint Zinchefsky as they see him very much qualified for the position, which has long been vacant.

“It is evident in Mr. Zinchefsky’s education and work experience that he is well qualified for the job,” he stressed.

He added that he is confident that Zinchefsky will serve well as Senate Legislative Counsel.
