It was the third time the lady Dolphins crushed the Lady Rays, causing the lady Dolphins to be undefeated. MHS will play their final game on Monday when they face the lady Ayuyus in the regular season bout for both the Junior Varsity and Varsity divisions.
The game began slowly as the team players for both sides needed time to feel the environment. But come the second quarter, team MHS pulled away with a 22-2 deficit after Jeraldine Castillo and Melody Johnson each scored 5 points a piece.
The Mantas were able to make it to the scoreboard in the second period because of team player Czanna Lizama; Castillo was able to score a total of 12 whopping points over all.
It was history for the lady Manta Rays in the second half of the game after the Lady Dolphins repeatedly barged through their defensive walls to serve them a 23 point difference in the final seconds of the game.
In the Varsity game, the lady Dolphins dominated with an unbeatable might. Jamie Mendoza was able to bag 13 points whilst teammate Marie Javier, Jeraldine Castillo and Ira Palero connected 12, 11, and 9 points respectively.
Chantel Maui was the lone star for the lady Mantas after tallying in 10 points.
A 23-4 deficit in the first quarter was all the Lady Dolphins needed to pull away and complete their task in defeating the Lady Rays.
