Traders Insurance has been assisting the NMBA in their team tournament for the past four years, with the competition receiving $2,000 this year.
“As the sport of badminton becomes more popular not only in the CNMI, Traders Insurance will continue this traditional event every year which started four years ago for the purpose of creating sportsmanship and physical fitness,” said Traders’ general manager, Mike Licop.
“With the wholehearted support and active participation of the officers, members and other participants, we are certain that the tournament will be successful,” he added.
Licop, who has been active in badminton since 1975, is also a board member of the NMBA, which is led by Jerry Tan.
