Interior funds A. Samoa health, water projects

The grant makes $254,505 available to the American Samoa Power Authority, allowing it to make continuing improvements to the Manu’a Water System.

The upgrades will greatly improve the quality of services delivered to the residents in the villages of Ta’u and Faleasao.

In addition, the remainder of the grant, $151,348 will go toward constructing an extension to the Tafuna Family Health Center.

The new wing will accommodate offices, a conference room, and greater storage space for patient records. The outpatient mental health services unit will also be expanded.
